March 2009 – Cilgwyn at Beechwood Scared Heart Prep School
Cilgwyn carried out an all day workshop for the whole of Beechwood Sacred Heart Prep School – That’s 180 students! The workshop was based on The Elephant’s Child by Rudyard Kipling and a great time was had by all.
April 2009 – New workshop programmes for The Way through the Woods
We have created new workshop programmes to go along with The Way through the Woods. See the Education Section for more details
December 2008 – Cilgwyn Residency at North London Collegiate School
Cilgwyn have been working for 10 weeks with students from North London Collegiate School. The students have been adapting and devising 3 short pieces based on stories from The Jungle Book. The final show will be performed on the 10th December. Photos and feedback on the project coming soon to the education pages.
November 2008 – The Way Through the Woods at The Pleasance, Islington
The Way through the Woods has found a home. We will be performing the show for the first time at The Pleasance, Islington in September/October 2009 with a work in progress performance in March 2009. For more information on The Way Through the Woods click here.
October 2008 – Cilgwyn at Shakespeare Schools Festival
Becca worked with Central Foundation Boys School on a production of Richard III for the Shakespeare Schools Festival. The 17 boys performed a 30 minute version of the play at the Cochrane Theatre in Central London and had a fantastic response from the 400 strong audience and the festival organisers. September 2008 – Cilgwyn’s new show goes into development.
The Way Through the Woods, Cilgwyn’s latest venture has gone into development this month. The show will be based on the work of Rudyard Kipling and will mix familiar characters with less well known stories – all with a Cilgwyn twist. For more information about the show click here.
